STRIPE-CALC is a pricing spreadsheet program designed to assist you in pricing parking lot striping and sealcoating jobs. Using it is very simple. You simply enter data that has been collected from the jobsite into the spreadsheet and it will calculate the price based upon set pricing for the different categories. There is a section for striping and sealcoating. The sealcoating section adjusts pricing for smooth and rough (dirty) parking lots. Also, the program will estimate your profit for each job. We use this in our striping business and have found it to be very helpful.
The pricing data for the spreadsheet is already entered and is based on national averages. You can edit it to match your market prices if you wish. You will need to enter the price you pay per gallon of paint so that the program can calculate profit.
The spreadsheet and marketing guide are $24.99 and are available in a downloadable format. After you pay via paypal or a credit card you will be given a link where you can download all the files at one time as a .zip file. Simply extract the zip file into a directory on your desktop and you are ready to run the program. The spreadsheet can be opened one of three ways. You can open the spreadsheet using Microsoft Excel which is part of Microsoft office. Also, you can open the spreadsheet using the included “spread32” program. Lastly, you can go to docs.google.com and use google’s free service to open the spreadsheet. Runs on all versions of Windows and on Macs with Excel installed.
Our “marketing guide” is also included with the Stripe-Calc spreadsheet program. It will walk you through how to get jobs and even includes some sample letters and flyers to get you started.
